"This Guide Along App was a game-changer for our Yellowstone trip, so easy to use, and it felt like having a personal tour guide right in the car!"
"Sheila's Free Travel Guide was exactly what I needed to start planning our Yellowstone trip. It’s packed with local tips, simple recipes, and real advice that made everything less overwhelming. You can tell it was written by someone who’s actually been there and wants you to have an amazing time."
Mike
"I came to the 4-day Cast Iron Cooking Class knowing very little, and left with the skills (and confidence) to cook for a real backcountry crew. Sheila’s teaching is hands-on, practical, and full of stories that stick with you.
Thanks to her, I landed my first job as a camp cook!"
“Everything you need to cook, plan, and explore your way into a seasonal lifestyle,
one cast iron meal and Yellowstone mile at a time.”
What’s included in your Free Yellowstone Travel Guide, and how will it help me plan my trip?
This free guide is packed with real advice from a local, hotspots in the park, travel tips, must-see stops, cast iron recipes, budget hacks, and a printable map. Whether you’re visiting for a day or a week, it’s your shortcut to an unforgettable Yellowstone adventure.
How does the Guide Along App work, and why should I use it in Yellowstone National Park?
GuideAlong is like having a friendly park ranger in your car. It uses GPS to tell you stories, history, and local tips as you drive, no signal needed. I recommend it to all my guests for a more enriching, hands-free adventure.
What makes your Yellowstone National Park Travel Planner different from other trip planners?
My custom Travel Planner is built for real people on real trips—organized, printable, and designed to help you map out your lodging, meals, must-see sights, and even rest stops. No fluff, just the tools you need to plan confidently.
Who are your Cast Iron Cooking Classes designed for?
These classes are for anyone who wants to get back to the basics and learn the art of cast iron cooking, whether you’re brand new to Dutch ovens or a seasoned camp cook looking to level up. We welcome outdoor lovers, homesteaders, seasonal workers, and curious foodies who want to cook with fire and flavor.
What’s the difference between the 2-day, 4-day, and 10-day classes?
The 2-day class is a quick intro, perfect for beginners or weekend warriors. The 4-day class gives you more hands-on practice and campfire cooking confidence. The 10-day course? That’s the full experience, think of it as cast iron bootcamp with mentoring, recipes, and rustic skills you’ll use for life. This 10-day course will set you up with all the skills you need for landing a job in a wilderness backcountry camp, a drive-in camp, or a fly-in camp.
Do I need any experience or special gear to join?
Nope! Just bring a good attitude, a thirst for adventure, and maybe a notebook for all the tips and tricks you'll learn. We provide the gear, the fire, the lessons/books, and the seasoned guidance, you just show up hungry to learn (and eat)!
